Pastime Bar and Grill
To our customers,
After much thought about how to keep the Pastime economically viable in a community of such seasonal dining patterns, Dianna and I have decided the best option is to take it back to its roots, operating as a 21 and older establishment. Though we have very much appreciated our family customer patronage, for the Pastime’s long-term prospects, we have determined that this is the best way for our small family-operated business to be sustainable and still offer great food and customer service.
The Pastime Bar and Grill will close Wednesday, September 14. We will reopen the bar Thursday, September 15 with new hours of operation: Thursday through Tuesday, 3:00pm until closing. The dining room will undergo a makeover, reopening as a sports and entertainment lounge Saturday, October 1 and remain a 21 and over establishment moving forward. Our lounge will have a 110″ HDTV and comfortable seating in an inviting and relaxing environment. Music and DJ equipment will be set up permanently, and we will establish a calendar of entertainment. Our kitchen will also get a makeover, and our menu will be shortened. We will continue to focus on tasty food and plan to add some amazing new items in the near future.
Starting this Sunday, we will be open for all Seahawks games!
Thank you for your patience and support,
Tim and Dianna
The Pastime Bar and Grill offers a unique dining experience in Oroville. We strive to make our customers feel both comfortable and special in an atmosphere that is as much about the occasion as the food.
All of our food reflects our passion for providing a great dining experience, featuring food prepared with the best ingredients available. Many of our items are made from scratch each day, so that you enjoy the freshest meal possible. Our wildly popular array of homemade sauces were invented here, are prepared here, and are only available here.
We connect with local suppliers to bring you a dining experience unique to the Okanogan. Our bison is always locally sourced from just miles away, and it’s not uncommon for produce to be bought at the farmers’ market in the morning and on your plate in the evening.
You’ll also find some Okanogan Valley wineries on our wine list and even local craft brews from just around the corner.
As Okanogan bars go, the Pastime bar has quite a history. Legend has it that our handsome mahogany back bar, a local landmark of sorts, arrived in Oroville, WA via Cape Horn, sailing up the west coast of South America before reaching American shores.
As before, the Pastime is still Oroville’s place to meet, a cozy spot to weather a storm, a cool place to cool off, according to the season. We’ll keep the beer cold, the bar drinks varied and go on planning special events to entertain you.
We regularly feature live music, free for our patrons to enjoy. Our weekly ‘Twisted Tuesdays’ feature live performances, paired with new dinner specials, unique each week.
We’ve got pool tables and shuffleboard to liven up your night – always fun, and always free.
Whether you plan to spend happy hour with us or the entire evening, things are usually hoppin’ at the Pastime.
What People Are Saying
This place was impressive. It seems out of place in a small town like Oroville. It has a great bar and the menu was quite sophisticated. The New York steak was amazing, the best we’ve had in quite a while. Highly recommended!
Wow! Who would have thought a place like this would be found in Oroville, WA?! Pastime Bar & Grill has amazing charm and atmosphere, great food and the bartender that served us lunch on Thursday April 24, 2014, was outstanding! I think your second Pastime Bar & Grill should be located in Coeur d’Alene, ID!!
